  • What are my opt-out rights? Can you remove information about me from searches conducted on your Website?

    US Search obtains most of the information for our products and services from partners who generally obtain it from public records. We do not maintain or control the public records, and we are unable to remove your name from any public records. However, we do offer a free “opt-out” service that prevents your name and address from appearing on most, although not all, searches conducted on USSearch.com.  If you’d like to use our opt-out service, please click here to visit our opt-out page.

  • Can I access or delete the information that is collected from this Website?

    We provide location and background services by conducting searches of information databases owned and maintained by third parties. We charge our customers to conduct a location or background check for an individual. We do not provide location and background services free of charge, and we cannot provide access to information about you in databases owned by third parties without payment of the applicable fee.

    We do, however, permit you to review, update, correct, delete or deactivate information that we collect directly from you and store in our internal databases, such as your name, address, payment information, email address, social security number, aliases and date of birth. The information we collect from you is not incorporated into the services we sell to our customers.

    • Online by visiting www.USSearch.com, logging into your account, and clicking on the “account information tab” at the top of the page; (Note: you must call customer service at 1-800-877-3272 if you want to change or delete your credit card number.)
